My name is Ketty Raquel de Leon de House. I am the wife of Jonathan Earl House. One day, one of my friends, Wendy Mendez De Robitaille, talked to me about the way she met her boyfriend who is now her husband. She talked about a website on the Internet called latinamericancupid.com. After telling me about the risks of meeting someone on the Internet, she suggested that I join the website community. In the beginning, I thought that it was kind of a waste of time. On the other hand, Wendy’s marriage to her husband was clearly a testimony of love that I could not ignore. In fact, I was a little inspired by them.

I logged onto that web site for some months. I really didn't have enough time for chatting but sometimes I did it. Then, by the beginning of January, a beautiful smile caught my attention. So after reading his profile, and just wanting to chat with this man and hear about his experience in this club, I contacted him. We had a short conversation, where he told me that he did not have too much luck on meeting girls on the website because most of them did not speak any English. So, we shared our experiences on the site and ended the talk by agreeing to add each other to our MSN Messenger friends list with the idea of chatting another day. The next day when I was logged onto MSN Messenger, I found he too happened to be logged on. We began chatting. This time we spent one hour just talking about us, no talking about latinamericancupid.com or the people we met on it, just about us.

Soon after, we decided that it was time for meeting each other. We started planning our first in-person meeting by choosing a date that would not interfere with our jobs and would be convenient for both of us. We agreed to do it on April 7, 2006, in Hamaca Coral Hilton Hotel in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. When I finally saw him, I knew that my search for my man had ended. During our time at that hotel we spent a lot of time talking, teasing each other and laughing. We found we had the same sense of humor. To us that special place looks like a paradise. On the last great day, he put himself on his knees and asked me to marry him and I accepted.

We were married on June 28, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Jordan Salon of the Costa Larimar Hotel in Barahona, Dominican Republic. Our wedding day was very special for us. It was a sunny and beautiful day and I could not have felt happier. I felt that God blessed me and that made me feel really comfortable. When I got into the salon where the wedding took place and I saw Jonathan, I felt that I was the luckiest woman in this world; he looked so handsome in his tuxedo. We got married by the civil official of Barahona who took our votes and declared our marriage official. Then, we passed to take the photos with our guests. My family and a few friends expressed their best wishes and congratulated us. We were all very happy. Then we shared a buffet for lunch and some drinks.

We stayed our first night in the Costa Larimar hotel and left for our honeymoon the next day. We had reservations at IFA Bávaro hotel where we spent our honeymoon. It was a realy great time. We had a lot of fun together. The beauty of the nature and exquisite beaches looked so romantic. Jonathan was very affectionate with me. We were hugging and kissing each other all the time, telling our feelings and love for one another. As Jonathan rented a car at the airport in Santo Domingo, we had the opportunity to go to some places in Bávaro. We visited some stores where we bought presents or souvenirs for our friends. Even though we had the all inclusive service at the hotel, we had dinner out in a small but nice restaurant. We visited Manatí Park where we took pictures, saw dolphins, fishes, different kinds of birds and a Taino show. We also went to Punta Cana, just for a drive. It was really nice when Jonathan took me to the Mexican restaurant in the hotel. At the table he put his hands on mine and told me how much he loves me and how beautiful I looked that night. He also asked the waitress to take a picture of us. Then he guided me to the beach where we spent a romantic moment.

Well, there are a lot of things that I could tell about my wedding and honeymoon, but I will resume it by telling you that it was the best time I ever had.

Today I am a very happy woman. I feel complete. Our plans are to start a life together and to have a happy family. We want to have two kids, to work to buy a house and what our family needs, to save for our kids' university, to have fun together and with our friends and family, and to grow old together. All I want I have in him. We understand each other. We have a lot of things in common, from our sense of humor to our future goals. He makes me feel protected, respected, comfortable and loved. He is my present and future, and all my hopes are on him. I love him with all my heart, mind and soul and I am sure he loves me too.
